Taken in the Old Bahama Channel, headed towards the Windward Passage between Cuba and Haiti, we were running from Hurricane Helene in the fall of 2024. Helene was on its way towards the western shore of Cuba, and we were doing our best to keep Cuba between us and it. Althought the water looks calm and peaceful, there was not a breath of air, or a sound, as we ghosted along. It was absolutely beautiful and unnervingly eerie at the same time.
